 HA is hydrophilic and biocompatible, but highly dissoluble. Non Cross-linked HA is quickly degraded when applied to the skin = no effects.

 On average, HA production in the body starts to decrease at the age of 18-20. At age 40, the production rate decreases by 50%, compared to the rate of the 20s.
